Flens met hals

De lasbare flens of "met hals" heeft een eigenaardige conische hals, het afgeschuinde uiteinde is stomp gelast met de pijp. De binnendiameter van de buis is gelijk aan die van de flens, deze eigenschap zorgt voor een leiding met een vrijwel constante doorsnede, zonder de mogelijkheid om turbulentie te veroorzaken in de gassen of vloeistoffen die er doorheen circuleren.

De lange nek en de overgang van de dikte daarvan, geven dit type flens kenmerken van sterkte die geschikt zijn in sectoren van buizen die worden blootgesteld aan buigspanningen, product van de uitzettingen in lijn.

De toepassing ervan is over het algemeen voor zwaar werk, waarbij hoge druk optreedt.
